Planned Giving: A planned gift to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society makes a powerful impact on our ability to maintain and expand adoption, education, and medical services to the region’s companion animals and their caregivers. Planned or deferred gifts can take many forms: life insurance proceeds, a portion of an estate, or income from a trust. Each type of planned gift provides unique tax benefits to the donor and his or her beneficiaries. Planned gifts should be made with the advice of your professional counsel.

Honorary and Memorial Gifts:  Gifts in memory of a beloved animal, friend, or family member, or in honor of a birthday, anniversary, or other special event, are wonderful ways to pay tribute to those you care for while strengthening the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society’s mission and programs.

Gifts of Securities: A gift of highly appreciated stock helps support the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society while providing significant tax advantages. When you give stock, you receive a tax deduction for the stock’s full market value – while avoiding capital gains tax on its appreciation.

Matching Gifts: Many companies will match their employees’ gifts to charitable organizations.
